Alcohol dependence is not as simple thing as it is often thought about. The condition can turn out very severe and fatal if proper eye is not given to its causes, symptoms and diagnosis. The basic cause of alcoholism can be either genetic, or environmental, or both. Signs of alcohol dependence

- The person experiences severe withdrawal symptoms even when refraining from alcohol for one instance.

Drinking early in the morning is definitely an unusual behavior for an occasional drinker. So, this can be noted as a warning sign. Drinking alone and not in social groups is another sign, pertaining to the offensive manner and quantity of drinking. Not ceasing to drink alcohol even after the point of intoxication is another warning sign. Temporary loss of memory and lack of attention are results of too much alcohol consumption.
